The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jolan Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 6th minute of the match. Pipis Karapatakis took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jolan Galindo. Jolan Galindo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Velichko Rakadzhiev notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches. Jardel Sanches was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio FBPA from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Velichko Rakadzhiev in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jolan Galindo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grêmio FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Darío Pereyra in the 36th minute. After taking down the ball on Grêmio FBPA's corner Nestor Leão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jolan Galindo quite easily take care of the ball. Antonio Mundo made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Katon Sahilatua immediately put the ball in play. In the 44th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Xurxo Xixons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jolan Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipis Karapatakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Velichko Rakadzhiev made a kick off. Darío Pereyra kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Vinicio Chan put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bestone 716 - Jakarta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Bestone 716 - Jakarta's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipis Karapatakis. In the 58th minute Borys Ciszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jolan Galindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 81st minute. Borys Ciszewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pipis Karapatakis scored 1-4 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jolan Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Pipis Karapatakis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jolan Galindo. The goal made the score 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Pipis Karapatakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio FBPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Pipis Karapatakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jolan Galindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bestone 716 - Jakarta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Darío Pereyra was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio FBPA's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Darío Pereyra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jolan Galindo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grêmio FBPA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
