The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dinu Oardă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrice Pacio went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Teofil Zagrobelny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Victor Lucila took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Astor Guipuzkoa to make any attempt to save it. Dawid Bienienda kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Victor Lucila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Lucila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinu Oardă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Wei Gang, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Yan Wei Gang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Oardă having to interfere. Victor Lucila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Astor Guipuzkoa made a huge save. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Expedition Lubin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ernest Oprescu was slow to take the kick. During this time MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players had a chance to rest. 42 minutes into the match, Expedition Lubin's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Frumușanu came free, but Astor Guipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Oardă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Wei Gang, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yan Wei Gang to make the kick off. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Expedition Lubin's goalkeeper Astor Guipuzkoa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute Yan Wei Gang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Oardă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernest Oprescu, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Patrice Pacio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dinu Oardă came out and tried to block the shot, but Patrice Pacio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 90th minute. Lu Guo Guo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Expedition Lubin eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
