In the 13th minute Kristian Ottaway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Teuben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match, Jake Marriott got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arne Teuben was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jake Marriott got free with Arne Teuben in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henley on Thames United's Sofoklis Prinianakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Akerman in the 17th minute of play. If Marcos Akerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Akerman in the 21st minute of play forced Henley on Thames United's goalkeeper Sofoklis Prinianakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Carl Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Teuben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Grant Sherwood got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arne Teuben was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Obrero Barquisimeto's Arne Teuben got control of the ball when Carl Houghton tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Henley on Thames United's zone, Richie Vasaburu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sofoklis Prinianakis came out of the goal and Richie Vasaburu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jake Marriott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Arne Teuben made a huge save.

Arne Teuben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Ottaway, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Misael Barranco hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Marcos Akerman came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Obrero Barquisimeto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Akerman couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Obrero Barquisimeto's goal looked a bit too open when Jake Marriott came free, but Arne Teuben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henley on Thames United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
