Best Playe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Antonello Ranieri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Best Playe managed to get in a good position for a shot. United Arab Emirates's supporters rose to their feet, but Best Playe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonello Ranieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lafi Al Hashash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rdth minute of the game Alberto Iezzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but United Arab Emirates's Morjan Al Sayer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Morjan Al Sayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Bertoni in the 25th minute of the match. Qais Khorshed hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Best Playe might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonello Ranieri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Best Playe ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonello Ranieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Best Playe in the 38th minute of the match. Antonello Ranieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darweesh Al Matrok, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Nemir Al Hammady kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Alvise Vittorio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and United Arab Emirates's Morjan Al Sayer didn't even have to move. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
