In the 8th minute of the match Bestone 716 - Jakarta got a corner. Gyál United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Borys Ciszewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 9th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gyál United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Borys Ciszewski was slow to take the kick. During this time Bestone 716 - Jakarta's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bestone 716 - Jakarta's Borys Ciszewski to fire away a dangerous shot which Gyula Grosics despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bestone 716 - Jakarta's Jolan Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferry Ribéry got free with Jolan Galindo in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Velichko Rakadzhiev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bestone 716 - Jakarta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ferry Ribéry kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Velichko Rakadzhiev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Velichko Rakadzhiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gyula Grosics tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gyula Grosics came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Bestone 716 - Jakarta's Katon Sahilatua. But to his dismay, Katon Sahilatua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gyál United's Gyula Grosics played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velichko Rakadzhiev in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Konstantinos Kroustallis got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute Konstantinos Kroustallis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gyula Grosics showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velichko Rakadzhiev in the 46th minute of the match. Miklós Páncsics hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zoltán Varga was the one to do the kick off. Konstantinos Kroustallis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jolan Galindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Velichko Rakadzhiev came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Bestone 716 - Jakarta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Velichko Rakadzhiev couldn't finish the play. Gyál United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Jacobo Chepe scored to the left of an out of position Gyula Grosics, making the score, 0-3. Bestone 716 - Jakarta's Velichko Rakadzhiev got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Chepe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Gyula Grosics made a huge save. Velichko Rakadzhiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Varga in the 70th minute of play forced Bestone 716 - Jakarta's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velichko Rakadzhiev struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gyula Grosics didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bestone 716 - Jakarta. With his leg Gyula Grosics managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Bestone 716 - Jakarta's Velichko Rakadzhiev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Január Csillag hit a great ball. Gyula Grosics showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velichko Rakadzhiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Gyula Grosics made an important save on a dangerous shot by Velichko Rakadzhiev in the 77th minute. Gyula Grosics stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Velichko Rakadzhiev's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gyál United's Gyula Grosics played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velichko Rakadzhiev in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Bestone 716 - Jakarta's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Varga came free, but Jolan Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gyál United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmir Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Bestone 716 - Jakarta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bestone 716 - Jakarta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
