In the 20th minute Gavril Anghelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoffer Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumitru Doloman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Jonasson in the 24th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Dumitru Doloman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Gabrielsson in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goalkeeper Dumitru Doloman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingemar Jonasson. Ingemar Jonasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Dumitru Doloman made a huge save. In the 41st minute Oakcroft Thrashers were awarded a corner. Harry Ekeberg went to the cornerflag to take it.

Dumitru Doloman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakcroft Thrashers. If Kuuno Tälli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christoffer Modig made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Stig-Åke Gabrielsson sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's Ingemar Jonasson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dumitru Doloman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Viola Invest failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
