The FC Dundee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Kogimyae JK's Lennart Merioja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaido Jaas in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kogimyae JK's Sulev Oksmaa got a free kick in the 10th minute. Lennart Merioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaido Jaas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Dundee's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arvo Kena in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Guido Arujärv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hardi Lind scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Merioja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaido Jaas might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennart Merioja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaido Jaas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Kogimyae JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ago Erikson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvo Kena struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Lennart Merioja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dundee. In the 29th minute, Kaido Jaas made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Merioja. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henri Villem was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Kogimyae JK's goal looked a bit too open when Arno Luuk came free, but Lennart Merioja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arno Luuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the match, Kogimyae JK's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Arujärv came free, but Lennart Merioja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Sulev Oksmaa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kogimyae JK's Lennart Merioja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Kogimyae JK from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Arno Luuk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lennart Merioja. The goal made the score 0-7. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Dundee's Arvo Kena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lennart Merioja. That made the score 0-8 after 88 minutes of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Arvo Kena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dundee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arvo Kena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Kogimyae JK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Dundee were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
