Ali Mäkitalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harrie Kane in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's goalkeeper Agu Redi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustav Kingisepp. In the 21st minute, Xu Yong Yi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustav Kingisepp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ali Mäkitalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Ilves, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Kevin Ilves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Tsernobõl booed when Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Ilves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harrie Kane to make the kick off. Ali Mäkitalo was a little too slow when Harrie Kane got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-1. Ali Mäkitalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Lossmann in the 55th minute of the match. Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's Agu Redi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Joost Flocquier in the 59th minute of play. Agu Redi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Kingisepp, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute FC Tsernobõl were awarded a corner. Jiří Lebeda went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Joost Flocquier in the 69th minute of play forced Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's goalkeeper Agu Redi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's goal looked a bit too open when Tavo Raas came free, but Agu Redi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's Kevin Ilves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 80 minutes, Ferit Kanat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud and the FC Tsernobõl players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ferit Kanat hit a great ball. Agu Redi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Joost Flocquier in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Tsernobõl defense, Jörgen Lossmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Mäkitalo. The FC Tsernobõl fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Mäkitalo should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Harrie Kane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud's supporters rose to their feet, but Harrie Kane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Mäkitalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jan-Joost Flocquier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tagasihoidlikud Ülbikud walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
