But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Rencio couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Edgard Polentzi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michael Steele. Edgard Polentzi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Cachiyuyo EAS were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Rechberg FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabricio Rencio took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Rencio in the 26th minute of play forced Rechberg FC's goalkeeper Michael Steele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Rechberg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Rencio came free, but Michael Steele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bebeto Romário made a kick off. Cachiyuyo EAS's Maximino Mateo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pascal Geenen in the 52 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Rechberg FC's zone, Maximino Mateo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Steele came out of the goal and Maximino Mateo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michael Steele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Rencio in the 54th minute of the match. Evaristo Velasco made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Raphael Ulrich sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabricio Rencio in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Steele prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michael Steele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Rencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Edgard Polentzi's late challenge caught a Rechberg FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
