Uriel Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witold Pryputnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Leopoldo Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fryderyk Jajecznica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leszek Brak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Ochabski, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Andris Kapenieks made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Black Power. The supporters of Spartans Lodz booed when Defensores del Ángel Gris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Unzaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Jajecznica in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Spartans Lodz booed when Defensores del Ángel Gris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Ochabski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernard Ochabski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leszek Brak having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iwan Ostrowski during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Defensores del Ángel Gris made a substitution. Rene Gerber replaced Serafim Catranides. After 62 played minutes Spartans Lodz got a freekick which was hit by Iwan Ostrowski. The throw-in from Krzysztof Okopny in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Defensores del Ángel Gris's Eleuterio Chabier. Krzysztof Okopny made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Iwan Ostrowski however managed to control. Fryderyk Jajecznica might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uriel Chorche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fryderyk Jajecznica ran back to his position shaking his head. After 69 played minutes Defensores del Ángel Gris got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Chabier. With a little luck, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Uriel Chorche got control of the ball when Fryderyk Jajecznica tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Spartans Lodz booed when Defensores del Ángel Gris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Unzaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes Defensores del Ángel Gris got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Aimar. 76 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Jajecznica came free, but Uriel Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Spartans Lodz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krzysztof Okopny didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Spartans Lodz's Iwan Ostrowski got a free kick in the 80th minute. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Uriel Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Pryputnicki in the 86th minute of play. Spartans Lodz were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Defensores del Ángel Gris's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iwan Ostrowski took the corner. Krzysztof Okopny made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Iwan Ostrowski immediately put the ball in play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Defensores del Ángel Gris players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
