Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gaston Zárate got the match started through his kick off. After 2 minutes of play, Velez sarsfield's Qin Kun Xi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miroslaw Gollob was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Gaston Zárate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso Frechoso was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Qin Kun Xi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miroslaw Gollob read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Damaso Alonso came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Narciso Frechoso could save by the left post. If Damaso Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Velez sarsfield getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cirilo Dimas hit a great ball. With a little luck, Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso got control of the ball when Cristo Verdu tried to sneak it across the goal line. At last the ball reached Maksymilian Drapinski at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Velez sarsfield. 1-1. Velez sarsfield's Qin Kun Xi got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Qin Kun Xi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Qin Kun Xi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Cempa got free with Narciso Frechoso in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaston Zárate took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Frechoso. Narciso Frechoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Narciso Frechoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Alonso in the 37th minute. Benjamin Orixe's late challenge caught a Zacisze Częstochowa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Orixe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Velez sarsfield getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Fabio Regis hit a great ball. After 44 minutes Velez sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristo Verdu who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Damaso Alonso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso did a great save. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez sarsfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristo Verdu was slow to take the kick. During this time Zacisze Częstochowa's players had a chance to rest. Zacisze Częstochowa's Cristo Verdu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Narciso Frechoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 46th match minute, Velez sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Leo to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Qin Kun Xi to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Damaso Alonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cyprian Kloczko charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cyprian Kloczko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cyprian Kloczko kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Margiris Nekrošius in the 54th minute of play forced Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacisze Częstochowa's Akif Yetik was substituted for Maksymilian Drapinski. In the 60th minute of the match Zacisze Częstochowa got a corner. Velez sarsfield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristo Verdu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zacisze Częstochowa made a substitution. Przemyslaw Maldini replaced Gonzalo Firme. Zacisze Częstochowa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristo Verdu in the 62nd minute. Miroslaw Gollob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Regis in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Walter Pico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Jurand Cempa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miroslaw Gollob stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Pico's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Damaso Alonso hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Alonso in the 75th minute of play. The throw-in from Cyprian Kloczko in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez sarsfield's Fabio Regis. Jurand Cempa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narciso Frechoso having to make a save. In the 87th match minute, Zacisze Częstochowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Margiris Nekrošius to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Dalmai during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zacisze Częstochowa booed when Velez sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Dalmai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zacisze Częstochowa were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Velez sarsfield for a fine match.
