Belo Alvarez started the match with the kick off. If Manolo Bacete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manolo Bacete in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolo Bacete in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 16th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belo Alvarez. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belo Alvarez in the 19th minute. Belo Alvarez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pankracy Glogowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Belo Alvarez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Bacete came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Bacete in the 34th minute of play. If Anselmo Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belo Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Goicoechea to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Nevada kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurino Serena. That made the score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. In the 56th minute Manolo Bacete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Belo Alvarez hit a great ball. Remigio Erramu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurino Serena. A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's Manolo Bacete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belo Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Nevada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of A.D. Alcorcón booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Eustaquio Jaizki replaced Mugur Chiriac. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. In the 70th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Erroman to maneuver through the defense. Belo Alvarez might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belo Alvarez ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Atlanta defense, Manolo Bacete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pankracy Glogowski should have stopped the shot. Esteban Vadillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Jaizki came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Esteban Vadillos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurino Serena was a little too slow when Alfonso Goicoechea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 2-2.
