An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 2nd minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciro Ferdinand in the 4th minute. Ciro Ferdinand made a great header on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner, it was just that Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon managed to reach the ball for a save. Lázaro Cuartio's late challenge caught a Los Muchachos del 86's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Cuartio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lázaro Cuartio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jérémie Boix in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. In the 9thth minute of the game Alfonso Goicoechea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Los Muchachos del 86's Jérémie Boix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pankracy Glogowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mugur Chiriac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Atahan Balon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mugur Chiriac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atahan Balon was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Atahan Balon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Erramu to maneuver through the defense. Jérémie Boix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Ljubenković in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46thth minute of the game Jérémie Boix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luka Ljubenković was the one to do the kick off. When Fabio Artaldo fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Fabio Artaldo a yellow card for diving instead. Fabio Artaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's Luka Ljubenković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goicoechea in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. Alfonso Goicoechea struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Atahan Balon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Atlanta. In the 65th minute, Luka Ljubenković ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Glogowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Alfonso Goicoechea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Eustaquio Jaizki replaced Mugur Chiriac. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Jacob in the 74th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabio Bencivenni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 76 minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sander Tielemans 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efrain Jacob in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Eustaquio Jaizki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Atahan Balon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Los Muchachos del 86 booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Caradaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Bencivenni in the 96th minute. The Club Atlético Atlanta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Muchachos del 86's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Muchachos del 86.
