Pontus Nordström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Francis's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Gerardo Lordi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Branislav Velchevski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute Gerardo Lordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 18th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Santa Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Matsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Santa Margarita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andréas Hasselqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 28 played minutes Santa Margarita got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Peruxu. 31 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Gerardo Lordi tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Lordi in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. Andréas Hasselqvist in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Branislav Velchevski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 35th minute Santa Margarita were awarded a corner. Enzo Peruxu went to the cornerflag to take it. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witomir Pisarczyk in the 37th minute of the match. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Witomir Pisarczyk notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elpidio Francis made a kick off. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andréas Hasselqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 59th minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match, Elpidio Francis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pontus Nordström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute, Elpidio Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mustafa Ali Cansoy hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Mustafa Ali Cansoy got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Mauro Icardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Margarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Icardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Branislav Velchevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Timoteo Basualdo went to the cornerflag to take it. Timoteo Basualdo made a great header on ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's corner, it was just that Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström managed to reach the ball for a save. Andreas Landgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Mauro Icardi put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Branislav Velchevski. In the 96th minute, Mauro Icardi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Margarita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
