Elpidio Francis might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Vladimirescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elpidio Francis ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Riesgo Cero:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA:s goal. 19 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Vladimirescu. Riesgo Cero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 庄潮宽, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Olle Snell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cristian Vladimirescu came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús. But to his dismay, André Monclús quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.
