Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Firmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Emesto in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Emesto in the 27th minute of play forced Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalkeeper Vicente Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Cordoba came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Moise Bădiță. But to his dismay, Moise Bădiță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Bădiță in the 35th minute of play. Igor Stephen hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Matias Bilintx, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Vicente Bartoleme was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Diego Maradona came free, but Vicente Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. were awarded a corner. Leonardo Frazier went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s corner Leonardo Frazier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Óscar Cordoba quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Matias Bilintx scored to the left of an out of position Vicente Bartoleme, making the score, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Moise Bădiță put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Vicente Bartoleme was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Saturnino Curcio. 78 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Diego Maradona came free, but Vicente Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Bartoleme made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Diego Maradona sent off a good shot on target. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Mario Zanabria replaced Venancio Emesto. Vicente Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Maradona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Moise Bădiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
