Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerardo Lordi took the kick off in the first half of the match. Venancio Emesto took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pontus Nordström. Pontus Nordström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Aaron Mikolas hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witomir Pisarczyk in the 13th minute of the match. Óscar Cordoba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Witomir Pisarczyk went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Pontus Nordström was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Diego Maradona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Maradona really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 19th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Emesto to maneuver through the defense. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Bilintx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pontus Nordström came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Venancio Emesto. But to his dismay, Venancio Emesto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 33 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Landgren came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Andreas Landgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Matias Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Pisarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match, Venancio Emesto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pontus Nordström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Witomir Pisarczyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Witomir Pisarczyk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Margarita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.
Sporting de Gijón's Wayne Rooney was substituted for Alejandro Rufo. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Bilintx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Witomir Pisarczyk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Óscar Cordoba, 3-3. Santa Margarita made a substitution. Mauro Icardi replaced Witomir Pisarczyk. 62 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Wayne Rooney came free, but Pontus Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Icardi in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Icardi got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santa Margarita were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Sporting de Gijón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enzo Peruxu took the corner. Enzo Peruxu made a great header on Santa Margarita's corner, it was just that Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 71st minute, Klaus Mohammadi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Mohammadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting de Gijón's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enzo Peruxu was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Margarita's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bilintx in the 75th minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Maradona in the 81st minute of play. Santa Margarita's Wendell Davids was substituted for Enzo Peruxu. Santa Margarita's Nicklas Matsson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kauan de Barros in the 83 minute of the game. Pontus Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Icardi got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting de Gijón from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the game, Mauro Icardi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Óscar Cordoba. Mauro Icardi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Icardi got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Santa Margarita players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
