Alzaga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. Paolo Caradaro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Caradaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Caradaro. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Murillo in the 12th minute of play. Alto Moco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Nevada in the 15th minute of play. Jose Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Murillo in the 18th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Glogowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Anselmo Nevada scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alto Moco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Alzaga FC's Jose Murillo. But to his dismay, Jose Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 31st match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Erroman to maneuver through the defense. If Jose Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alzaga FC's Jose Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Jose Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alfonso Goicoechea made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner. Ciro Ferdinand went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Narciso Miro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alzaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Miro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pankracy Glogowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alzaga FC made a substitution. Nestor Tesone replaced Jose Murillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Tesone in the 66th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Nestor Tesone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal and Nestor Tesone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Nestor Tesone made a precise shot to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Alzaga FC made a substitution. Pan Lang Bin replaced Jem Schab. Alto Moco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Nevada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Nestor Tesone notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute, Nestor Tesone made a precise shot to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 84th minute, Nestor Tesone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Glogowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Czornomaz in the 87th minute of play. Benigno Abreu's late challenge caught a Alzaga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu got a free kick in the 91st minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
