The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgar Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benê Goiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Marques ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Benê Goiano got control of the ball when Edgar Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iztal Marisancena hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Edgar Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Edgar Marques could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Benê Goiano however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, PP Plessydask's Benê Goiano threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 10th minute Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PP Plessydask's Jan Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Franks in the 15th minute of play. Alfredão da Costa hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erling Franks in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Abrahamsson saved PP Plessydask from getting behind. After having played for 31 minutes, Mustafa Jamil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PP Plessydask's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Jamil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, PP Plessydask's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Franks came free, but Jan Abrahamsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Oskar Sandström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benê Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erling Franks in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Abrahamsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Erivaldo Antunes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PP Plessydask's Jan Abrahamsson did a great save. Jan Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Franks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredão da Costa during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alfredão da Costa hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erling Franks to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Marques succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Silas Rocha with Maurinho Tróia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Franks in the 60th minute of play forced PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Jan Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas Rocha hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. PP Plessydask's Bertil Lundberg was substituted for Mustafa Jamil. PP Plessydask's Marcin Harasimowicz was substituted for Edgar Marques. A collision led to 20 DE SETEMBRO getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Silas Rocha hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in 20 DE SETEMBRO's zone, Marcin Harasimowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benê Goiano came out of the goal and Marcin Harasimowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurinho Tróia's late challenge caught a PP Plessydask's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurinho Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes 20 DE SETEMBRO got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Tróia. PP Plessydask's Jan Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iztal Marisancena in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to 20 DE SETEMBRO getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Silas Rocha hit a great ball. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Breno Carneiro was substituted for Iztal Marisancena. The supporters of PP Plessydask booed when 20 DE SETEMBRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Marcin Harasimowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. PP Plessydask's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcin Harasimowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benê Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcin Harasimowicz in the 91st minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Benê Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Carneiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Jan Abrahamsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 20 DE SETEMBRO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
