Adam Matysek came out of the goal and Cristian Naike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute FC Gdansk36 were awarded a corner. Witomir Zworski went to the cornerflag to take it. 14 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Matysek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 15 minutes FC Gdansk36's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santos Fonda who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Vélez Juniors's corner Santos Fonda fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adam Matysek quite easily take care of the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiburcio Quinteros to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Quinteros in the 51st minute of play forced FC Gdansk36's goalkeeper Adam Matysek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alberto Joey fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Adam Matysek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elvio Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Matysek having to interfere. Cristian Naike took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Matysek. Adam Matysek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. FC Gdansk36's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
