Sebastian Pârcălab hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Cristian Vidican left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Mukenio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mike Axisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aziz Akarsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Salerno in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Ismael Gimenez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Salerno. Aziz Akarsu took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Axisa. Mike Axisa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The corner led Deportivo Mukenio's Mario Hever to fire away a dangerous shot which Mike Axisa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 30 minutes in the game Chiratorn Wongsanam did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Guo Lin. Ismael Gimenez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Salerno went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 35th minute of play forced Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Axisa came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Mukenio's Aziz Akarsu. But to his dismay, Aziz Akarsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Chiratorn Wongsanam with Owen Grech Cumbo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Salerno got free with Ismael Gimenez in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aziz Akarsu to make the kick off. When Mario Salerno came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Swatar United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Salerno couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mike Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Akarsu in the 61st minute of the match. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Pârcălab in the 65th minute of play. Ismael Gimenez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Owen Grech Cumbo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Ismael Gimenez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Salerno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Cem Güler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Grech Cumbo in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 80th minute of play forced Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Swatar United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Hever was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Mukenio's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Mircea Buciuceanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Aziz Akarsu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Mike Axisa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Grech Cumbo in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Swatar United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiratorn Wongsanam to maneuver through the defense. The Deportivo Mukenio supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Mukenio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
