The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxim Tsigalko to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Răducanu came free, but Vince Di Cola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match MARAZZINO got a corner. Samurai's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wu Qi in the 75th minute of play forced MARAZZINO's goalkeeper Lütfü Öktemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfü Öktemer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wu Qi in the 78th minute of play. Lütfü Öktemer was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Wu Qi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wu Qi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Lütfü Öktemer made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Esbjörn Hultstrand sent off a good shot on target. Claudiu Răducanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vince Di Cola having to interfere. Wu Qi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lütfü Öktemer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MARAZZINO fans cheered their team off the field, for while Samurai had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
