Edgar Manolescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luka Jaćimović having to interfere. Victor Rădescu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to ABK Black Warriors73 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dan Găină hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Puniša Mamić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ABK Black Warriors73's Kaplan Damjanović got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kaplan Damjanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Luka Jaćimović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes ABK Black Warriors73 got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Mustață. In the 36th minute of the match El Pibe Academy got a corner. ABK Black Warriors73's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jozo Popara ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jozo Popara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ABK Black Warriors73's Waldir Gaúcho did a great save. Waldir Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Puniša Mamić's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. El Pibe Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jozo Popara in the 43rd minute. The corner led El Pibe Academy's Jozo Popara to fire away a dangerous shot which Waldir Gaúcho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

After 52 minutes, Dan Găină mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ABK Black Warriors73 and the El Pibe Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ABK Black Warriors73! The supporters of El Pibe Academy booed when ABK Black Warriors73 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Rădescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Puniša Mamić managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Pibe Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Puniša Mamić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Găină kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
