Federico Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Chiriac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mugur Chiriac in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Fe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ziggy Marley charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ziggy Marley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Trapiche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziggy Marley to maneuver through the defense. Federico Fe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Federico Fe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugur Chiriac went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Porfiro in the 16th minute of play. Federico Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Chiriac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mugur Chiriac came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Chiriac couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Mugur Chiriac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Federico Fe was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Trapiche's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Ferdinand took the corner. The corner led Club Atlético Atlanta's Ciro Ferdinand to fire away a dangerous shot which Federico Fe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Goicoechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Federico Fe was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Hugo Itzaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Tadeo Abajas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Federico Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Trapiche defense, Alfonso Goicoechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Fe. The Trapiche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Fe should have stopped the shot. Anselmo Nevada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Feliciano Porfiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Fe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Club Atlético Atlanta were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Porfiro to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goicoechea in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Fe saved Trapiche from getting behind. Federico Fe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfonso Goicoechea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. In the 63rd minute Fredo Herzog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Goicoechea. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Goicoechea got free with Federico Fe in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredo Herzog during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fredo Herzog kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. In the 70th minute, Fredo Herzog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Trapiche's Federico Fe got control of the ball when Alfonso Goicoechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Itzaina in the 73rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Fe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mugur Chiriac's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Federico Fe made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Alfonso Goicoechea sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the game, Feliciano Porfiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 93rd minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Federico Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The Trapiche supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atlético Atlanta's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Atlético Atlanta.
