Souad Matmour's late challenge caught a Green Squad FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Souad Matmour helped the player get up and apologised. Souad Matmour kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Barros in the 7th minute. Gonçalo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gilvan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilvan Sanches didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubaldo Uzuri went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Uzuri in the 14th minute of play forced Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 16 in the game by Leonardo Barros from a close distance when the talented Hugo Orlando Gatti managed to make a qualified save. Amapola's players were relieved. In the 19th minute Ubaldo Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amapola's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Amapola from getting a goal against them. If Camilo Segio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Maia in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Uzuri in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilvan Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Barros got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Souad Matmour was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. Green Squad FC made a substitution. Enrique Pinheiro replaced Conrado Pernambucano. In the 40th match minute, Amapola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Souad Matmour to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Amapola's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeu Cosme. Gilvan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Ubaldo Uzuri made the kick off in the second half. Green Squad FC's Gilvan Sanches proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Green Squad FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Uzuri in the 63rd minute of play forced Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gonçalo Maia fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Squad FC's protests and gave Gonçalo Maia a yellow card for diving instead. Gonçalo Maia hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Enrique Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ubaldo Uzuri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gilvan Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Cosme in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 87th minute Ubaldo Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amapola's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Barros in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Camilo Segio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Amapola supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amapola would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
