Miroslav Agbaba hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, Reese Otto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nebojša Jerić. Reese Otto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Bacalbașa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompiliu Bacalbașa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Bacalbașa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nebojša Jerić stood somewhat misplaced when Davis Duff came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 13 minute. In the 17th minute Crni Tigrovi were awarded a corner. Paško Kukavica went to the cornerflag to take it. Crni Tigrovi's Velimir Vizek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rhys Dimmock in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nebojša Jerić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davis Duff in the 21st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mugurel Balaeț could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Nebojša Jerić however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garikoitz Revuelta in the 28th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Velimir Vizek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Lazar Kotlar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Crni Tigrovi's Nebojša Jerić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davis Duff in the 36th minute of play. Velimir Vizek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davis Duff in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nebojša Jerić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th match minute, Crni Tigrovi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Velimir Vizek to maneuver through the defense. Reese Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nebojša Jerić having to interfere.

Reese Otto scored 3-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nebojša Jerić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zamalek FC made a substitution. Fred Kirkpatrick replaced Sergey Krasinskiy. Zamalek FC's Reese Otto got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Zamalek FC fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Zamalek FC's Reese Otto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Davis Duff took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nebojša Jerić. Nebojša Jerić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. In the 81st minute, Reese Otto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zamalek FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Nebojša Jerić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reese Otto, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Nebojša Jerić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Balaeț in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Velimir Vizek. The supporters of Crni Tigrovi booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Kirkpatrick didn't get a good kick on the ball.
