The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Jonathan Calixto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Green Squad FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Calixto came free, but Gilvan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nunez Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Maia in the 21st minute of the match. Conrado Pernambucano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 27th playminute. After a rather tough play, Teodelina FC's Nicolás De la Cruz got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of Teodelina FC booed when Green Squad FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Nicolás De la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Calixto might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Calixto ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilvan Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Calixto in the 40th minute of the match. Gilvan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Calixto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Jonathan Calixto made the kick off in the second half. Green Squad FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Jonathan Calixto scored to the left of an out of position Gilvan Sanches, making the score, 1-2. Jonathan Calixto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Sanches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Green Squad FC's Gilvan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Calixto in the 63rd minute of play. Marnix Harmannus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Sanches stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marnix Harmannus's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marnix Harmannus. Israel Gumaro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Marnix Harmannuss short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Gilvan Sanches to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marnix Harmannus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 86 played minutes, Green Squad FC's Tadeu Cosme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nunez Peli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Green Squad FC reached it. Marnix Harmannus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilvan Sanches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Teodelina FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Teodelina FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
