In the 4th minute Iurie Dimofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Oton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Oton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Dimofte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Adam Ghinescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RAPID 1923's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chusaca FC the free kick. After 9 played minutes RAPID 1923 got a freekick which was hit by Adam Ghinescu. Tome Manzarias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. RAPID 1923's Valentin Manu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sesuldo Temporal in the 18th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Chusaca FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Oton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iosif Iorgu. After some careless play in the RAPID 1923 defense, Sesuldo Temporal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Manu. The RAPID 1923 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Manu should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Oton had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Iurie Dimofte from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 34 minutes into the game, Iurie Dimofte lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Cristiano Oton. 42 minutes into the game, Chusaca FC's Tome Manzarias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Manu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mambru Bringas kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, RAPID 1923's Iosif Iorgu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Oton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Valentin Manu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tome Manzarias in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Chusaca FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gonchan Minjaraz hit a great ball. Iosif Iorgu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Oton having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Șerban Tatu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Tome Manzarias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chusaca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tome Manzarias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of RAPID 1923 booed when Chusaca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mambru Bringas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Iosif Iorgu managed to get in a good position for a shot. RAPID 1923's supporters rose to their feet, but Iosif Iorgu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Oton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Iosif Iorgu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, RAPID 1923's Valentin Dășanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Oton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. If Sesuldo Temporal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Chusaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Igartua. RAPID 1923 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chusaca FC for a fine match.
