The Corlee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bil Martyn should have stopped the shot. Alphan Çiftçibaşı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bil Martyn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 25 played minutes Corlee got a freekick which was hit by Bergin Savic. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alphan Çiftçibaşı sped through Corlee's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bil Martyn. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alphan Çiftçibaşı in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bil Martyn saved Corlee from getting behind. Bil Martyn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alphan Çiftçibaşı went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, Corlee's goal looked a bit too open when Hıncal Vacip came free, but Bil Martyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bil Martyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hıncal Vacip, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Pierson Duggan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Alphan Çiftçibaşı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bil Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alphan Çiftçibaşı to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Hıncal Vacip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bil Martyn was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Corlee's Pierson Duggan got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 75 minutes, Keegan McSteve mouthed his way into the referee's book. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Bil Martyn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphan Çiftçibaşı in the 95th minute of play forced Corlee's goalkeeper Bil Martyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Harrigan McCready fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corlee's protests and gave Harrigan McCready a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Hıncal Vacip fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bil Martyn, passed just outside the right post. When the final whistle sounded Sarikamis FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Corlee.
