In the 30thth minute of the game Alphan Çiftçibaşı who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes FC's Nemesio Geleberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sezen Ulusu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Pudes in the 38th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Estudiantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Jenaro. In the 41st minute, Alptuğ Demirdelen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Sarikamis FK booed when Estudiantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Brais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Aguilera in the 53rd minute of play forced Sarikamis FK's goalkeeper Sezen Ulusu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Donato Pudes made a precise shot to the right of Sezen Ulusu. Sarikamis FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Alphan Çiftçibaşı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 62 played minutes Estudiantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Aguilera. Eşref Benli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Geleberto having to interfere. Nemesio Geleberto made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Alphan Çiftçibaşı sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes FC's Hermengildo Aguilera got a free kick in the 68th minute. Alphan Çiftçibaşı did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Nemesio Geleberto 69 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes, Astor Brais made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Sarikamis FK's Sezen Ulusu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Sarikamis FK's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Ekialde came free, but Sezen Ulusu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Jenaro kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 97th minute of the match Hector Jenaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sezen Ulusu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
