With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho da Mata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albino Gaskon made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's 倪南潮. The supporters of Capibaribe Stars booed when Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. 倪南潮 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diguinho da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Sousa in the 38th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by 倪南潮 in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Capibaribe Stars's Albino Gaskon. The audience was convinced that Nildo Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomás Toscano was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. That made the score 0-2 after 92 minutes of play. The Capibaribe Stars supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Capibaribe Stars would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
