The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovanildo Luis to strike the kick off in the second half. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Costa in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 55th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville City - FSCMZ's zone, Henry Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haji Sarap came out of the goal and Henry Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute Geovanildo Luis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Costa in the 64th minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Adhemar Santos sped through Capibaribe Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thomás Toscano.
