In the 24th minute, Dale Dolar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexandre Brasil. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 36th minute Horacio Sayveon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Ugutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Luizão do Nascimento threw the ball into play from the sideline. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Tião Paraíba quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
