Daniel Sousa scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haji Sarap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute of the match, Geovanildo Luis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thomás Toscano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Sousa in the 18th minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanildo Luis got free with Thomás Toscano in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Capibaribe Stars's Atalay Turkay couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Joinville City - FSCMZ.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovanildo Luis to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Arce. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Sousa in the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Sousa got free with Haji Sarap in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
