The crowd rose to their feet as Tomé Damião kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Östen Ahlbom. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Pires in the 18th minute of play forced Södermalm FK's goalkeeper Östen Ahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Östen Ahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Pires in the 19th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Lars Nässén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Austra 04 VFC's Hudson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Johan Hagberg in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wellington Pires made a kick off. Östen Ahlbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beila Mora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hudson Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Johan Hagberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Södermalm FK's goal looked a bit too open when Sócrates Silva came free, but Östen Ahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukas Kvarnström in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute Wellington Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Ahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Beila Mora put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Östen Ahlbom. Austra 04 VFC made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Kvarnström got free with Hudson Gaúcho in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the game, Austra 04 VFC's Wellington Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Östen Ahlbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Marcus Pollard scored 4-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Östen Ahlbom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Östen Ahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Pollard in the 95th minute of play. Hudson Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Lukas Kvarnström sent off a good shot on target.
