In the 11th minute Song Wei Yun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ogot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Negro took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Ogot. Paul Ogot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 29th minute, Fernando Negro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Ogot. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Bejrut in the 32nd minute of play forced Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper Paul Ogot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes Tatooine Local Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Neil Degabriele who took care of the corner kick. Fernando Negro might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Ogot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Negro ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Tatooine Local Club's Paul Ogot got control of the ball when Fernando Negro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Seraċini Għawdxin's Filip Bejrut slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paul Ogot. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. Seraċini Għawdxin's Filip Bejrut got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tatooine Local Club's Paul Ogot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Tatooine Local Club from getting a goal against them. Tatooine Local Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Song Wei Yun scored to the left of an out of position Paul Ogot, making the score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Song Wei Yun made a kick off. When Fernando Negro came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Seraċini Għawdxin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Negro couldn't finish the play. After 53 played minutes Tatooine Local Club got a freekick which was hit by Charles Wambui. The audience was convinced that Fernando Negro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Ogot was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Paul Ogot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Song Wei Yun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Negro in the 58th minute of play forced Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper Paul Ogot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Samuel Griffin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Ogot was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 67th minute Samuel Griffin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ogot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Negro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Negro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Ogot having to make a save. Song Wei Yun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Negro in the 83rd minute of play forced Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper Paul Ogot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Tatooine Local Club's Rahim Kornes threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredrick Ntalami, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Fernando Negro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Tatooine Local Club's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Negro came free, but Paul Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tatooine Local Club defense, Fernando Negro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Ogot. The Tatooine Local Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Ogot should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tatooine Local Club's zone, Fernando Negro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Ogot came out of the goal and Fernando Negro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tatooine Local Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
