In the 18th minute of the match Gimnasia y tiro got a corner. Jordan F1 91-05's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luciano Mouricio ran over to the corner to take the kick. 26 minutes into the match, Jordan F1 91-05's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Boström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Geleberto. Jens-Ola Boström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Geleberto in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Jordan F1 91-05 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Montrelle made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the game Nazeer Mhlathe made a throw-in which Guo Gang Yan played forward. 56 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Montrelle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jens-Ola Boström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Montrelle notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström. Jens-Ola Boström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wieslaw Panasewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guo Gang Yan in the 61st minute. The Gimnasia y tiro fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Gimnasia y tiro's Reynaldo Montrelle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68thth minute of the game Reynaldo Montrelle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69 played minutes Jordan F1 91-05 got a freekick which was hit by Nazeer Mhlathe. In the 70th match minute, Jordan F1 91-05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazeer Mhlathe to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo Montrelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jens-Ola Boström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes in the game, Mathias-Alexander Kaisersberger fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wieslaw Panasewicz having to interfere. In the 77th minute Reynaldo Montrelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Boström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Ola Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Euloxu in the 79th minute of the match. When Gimnasia y tiro's Reynaldo Montrelle in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jordan F1 91-05's Jens-Ola Boström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Montrelle in the 88th minute of play. In the 88th minute Reynaldo Montrelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Boström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Ola Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Montrelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Reynaldo Montrelle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Jordan F1 91-05 defense, Reynaldo Montrelle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Ola Boström. The Jordan F1 91-05 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Ola Boström should have stopped the shot. Jordan F1 91-05's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
