The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Atauri in the 4th minute of play forced ☠QUINTERO☠'s goalkeeper Tom Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Cazorla kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Everardo Atauri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Everardo Atauri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Girona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cristiano Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimír Ambrosetti in the 24th minute of the match. If Berkay Yetiş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Aveiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Cristiano Aveiro managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when ☠QUINTERO☠'s Casimír Ambrosetti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th match minute, Girona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iván Salgado to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro got control of the ball when Casimír Ambrosetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ☠QUINTERO☠'s zone, Everardo Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Wall came out of the goal and Everardo Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimír Ambrosetti came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristiano Aveiro could save by the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Cazorla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Hellström in the 52nd minute of the match. Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Hellström in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Girona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkay Yetiş to maneuver through the defense.
