Håkan Viklund kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio Viana's zone, Svante Petersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal and Svante Petersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jiang De had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kenneth Biörkquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jiang De in the 9th minute. Tony Påk might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Biörkquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Påk ran back to his position shaking his head. Fredrik Larsson's late challenge caught a Gremio Viana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Larsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bloodthirsty FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Fredrik Larsson hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Gremio Viana's Jiang De ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kenneth Biörkquist. Kenneth Biörkquist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Jiang De came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gremio Viana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jiang De couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jiang De got free with Kenneth Biörkquist in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th play minute Jiang De came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kenneth Biörkquist. 2-0. In the 31st minute, Bloodthirsty FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariusz Lamczyk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gremio Viana's attentive Albi Koka managed to snatch the ball when Henry Grönberg made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. Jiang De blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenneth Biörkquist having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Påk in the 40th minute of play forced Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Biörkquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amado Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Higino Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higino Queirós to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jiang De to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Jiang De cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kenneth Biörkquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Grönberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Luna replaced Jiang De. Bloodthirsty FC's Kenneth Biörkquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Luna in the 74th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Bloodthirsty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Luna came free, but Kenneth Biörkquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bloodthirsty FC booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higino Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball.
