Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Harm de Freitas kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Curt Montes. Martinez Cines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Răducu having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Gabriel Martini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Stefanos Terzopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm de Freitas in the 14th minute of play. Aguinaga Nebot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vágner Porto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willy Reynolds in the 18th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Răducu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Maftei, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm de Freitas in the 33rd minute of play. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Esmeraldas S.C. from getting a goal against them. Matei Răducu came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Esmeraldas S.C.'s Martinez Cines. But to his dismay, Martinez Cines quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 40 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Maftei came free, but Matei Răducu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes in the game, Damian Maftei dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Damian Maftei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Matei Răducu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fausto Di Blasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aguinaga Nebot having to interfere. Stefanos Terzopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Maftei to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Alessandro do Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aguinaga Nebot was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. MarquinhosEC's Inácio Freitas was substituted for Alessandro do Valle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Porto in the 68th minute of play forced Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Oskar Petersson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Oskar Petersson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Esmeraldas S.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Oskar Petersson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 70th minute, one of Esmeraldas S.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esmeraldas S.C.. Perivaldo Guimarães made in the 76th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Inácio Freitas. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefanos Terzopoulos in the 79th minute of play. Damian Maftei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Matei Răducu made a huge save. Harm de Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aguinaga Nebot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Guimarães in the 93rd minute of play. After 94 minutes, Torsti Puistola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esmeraldas S.C. and the MarquinhosEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Torsti Puistola got a free kick in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esmeraldas S.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MarquinhosEC.
