Anders Lundqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Karol Panasewicz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anders Lundqvist. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 27th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karol Panasewicz to make the kick off. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 53rd minute of play. Robin Sharma made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Loco Durazno sent off a good shot on target. It was Joakim Haegg who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Golden Lions FC's Joakim Haegg to fire away a dangerous shot which Robin Sharma despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Manuel Baican fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Mountain State's protests and gave Manuel Baican a yellow card for diving instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Lundqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blue Mountain State's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Burç Tokhan scored to the left of an out of position Robin Sharma, making the score, 4-1. Burç Tokhan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robin Sharma came out and tried to block the shot, but Burç Tokhan slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 97th minute.
