If Jan-Erik Tunberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute, Maxence Cunin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polly Magoo Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulino Frechoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigio Buffon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Olofsson in the 16th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Erik Tunberg scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Germano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Jan-Erik Tunberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Germano was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Gigio Buffon made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Paulino Frechoso sent off a good shot on target. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Tunberg in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Polly Magoo Juniors were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Erik Tunberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Olofsson in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Germano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th play minute Jan-Erik Tunberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carlos Germano. 1-3. In the 61st match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Stefano to maneuver through the defense. Gigio Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Frechoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jan-Erik Tunberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Germano having to make a save. Carlos Germano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Erik Tunberg went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, Polly Magoo Juniors's Jan-Erik Tunberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Germano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan-Erik Tunberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Germano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlos Germano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Olofsson's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Maxence Cunin sent off a good shot on target. Jan-Erik Tunberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Carlos Germano made a huge save. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Erik Tunberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Germano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Erik Tunberg went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Pedro Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cem Adrian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Jan-Erik Tunberg sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Polly Magoo Juniors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atlético Atlanta.
