Justo Estefan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Justo Estefan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todor Barakovski in the 19th minute of play. Rodrigo Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to F.C. Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rodrigo Mendes hit a great ball. Kacper Tobiáš stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Erik Lönn's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Kacper Tobiáš, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Formentera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joaquin Vela in the 31st minute. The corner led Formentera's Fausto Ronconi to fire away a dangerous shot which Kacper Tobiáš despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kacper Tobiáš didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Erik Lönn went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the game, Formentera's Jan-Erik Lönn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kacper Tobiáš made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 44th minute Jan-Erik Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kacper Tobiáš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomil Brack hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 46th minute of play forced F.C. Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Kacper Tobiáš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Formentera were awarded a corner. Joaquin Vela went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Todor Barakovski to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan-Erik Lönn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kacper Tobiáš read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Kacper Tobiáš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 68th minute of play. Formentera's Justo Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todor Barakovski in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, F.C. Sosnowiec's Kacper Tobiáš got control of the ball when Jan-Erik Lönn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kacper Tobiáš made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Jan-Erik Lönn sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Radomil Brack's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justo Estefan was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Osvaldo Sugar hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Formentera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Formentera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
