An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Olof Svartengren in the 25th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omero Cobain took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Duardo. With a little luck, FCFiratRom's Ejder Baba got control of the ball when Macnelly Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line.
