In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Murilo da Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Per-Oskar Ekgren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Murilo da Fonseca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Atlético Capixaba's Murilo da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 25th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match, Medero Gadea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Murilo da Fonseca was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 74th minute of the match Atlético Capixaba got a corner. GeRaÇãO-83's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leopoldo de Almeida ran over to the corner to take the kick. Atlético Capixaba's Leopoldo de Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Grzegorz Siekierski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 董彬青 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Siekierski having to interfere. Medero Gadea came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Murilo da Fonseca could save by the left post. The supporters of Atlético Capixaba booed when GeRaÇãO-83 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jiang Xiang Sheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo de Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Grzegorz Siekierski. GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. GeRaÇãO-83 were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Atlético Capixaba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Per-Oskar Ekgren took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atlético Capixaba's goalie and right to Muhammadu ibn Abi Bakr. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atlético Capixaba's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Grzegorz Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pendekar Ngantuk in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Pendekar Ngantuk came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the GeRaÇãO-83 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atlético Capixaba.
