The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Durazno in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Konrad Lewicki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. spikarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Lions FC the free kick. After 4 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Konrad Lewicki. Arne Tönnberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lars Norberg. spikarna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Nordkvist came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 minutes, Sven Nordkvist made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Hård came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Norberg was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Loco Durazno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Loco Durazno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mats Nyström hit a great ball. If Loco Durazno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, spikarna's Lars Norberg got control of the ball when Loco Durazno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Hård in the 26th minute of the match. Loco Durazno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Norberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Golden Lions FC's Igor Dzierwa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Birger Bergström in the 39 minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of spikarna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Golden Lions FC:s goal. spikarna:s Lars Norberg showed great skill when he stopped Loco Durazno:s penalty. 46 minutes into the game, Loco Durazno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lars Norberg. Loco Durazno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaj Hård to strike the kick off in the second half. Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Nyström in the 52nd minute of play. If Loco Durazno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the match, spikarna's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Lars Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loco Durazno in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Norberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Golden Lions FC's Walter Closet quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Birger Bergström, made in the 58th minute of the game. Lars Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Durazno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Hård, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Loco Durazno came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Golden Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loco Durazno couldn't finish the play. Anders Lundqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atakan Pepe in the 67th minute. Witomir Ziomkowski hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. spikarna's Lars Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burç Tokhan in the 69th minute of play. Golden Lions FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after spikarna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arne Tönnberg took the corner. Arne Tönnberg made a great header on Golden Lions FC's corner, it was just that spikarna's Lars Norberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. In the 86thth minute of the game Burç Tokhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but spikarna's Lars Norberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by spikarna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arne Tönnberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Lions FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Golden Lions FC's Mats Nyström to fire away a dangerous shot which Lars Norberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. spikarna's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
