The referee ignored AP Tempo's protests and gave Arkadiusz Kieca a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastian Istodor walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Radomil Dejo stood somewhat misplaced when Damian Cârlan came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 12 minute. A hard shot 15 in the game by Calistrat Şerbănescu from a close distance when the talented Radomil Dejo managed to make a qualified save. AP Tempo's players were relieved. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tiberiu Rotariu hit a great ball. Calistrat Şerbănescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Radomil Dejo came out and tried to block the shot, but Calistrat Şerbănescu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 18th minute. Eric Astafei charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Astafei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Petruț Crivac hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Vlad Covrig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boguslaw Walentowicz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. AP Tempo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Calistrat Şerbănescu scored to the left of an out of position Radomil Dejo, making the score, 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calistrat Şerbănescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Sebastian Istodor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomil Dejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the AP Tempo defense, Calistrat Şerbănescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomil Dejo. The AP Tempo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomil Dejo should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radomil Dejo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Radomil Dejo came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Damian Cârlan. But to his dismay, Damian Cârlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Calistrat Şerbănescu scored 10-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radomil Dejo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Adrian Bârsan fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's protests and gave Adrian Bârsan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Adrian Bârsan hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Calistrat Şerbănescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radomil Dejo was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. In the 95th minute Damian Cârlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomil Dejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were the better team. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
