Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horea Hurmuzache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Rednic came free, but Vlad Covrig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of DINAMO booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Gurlui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugen Bobocea struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Vlad Covrig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DINAMO. With a little luck, DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache got control of the ball when Calistrat Şerbănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save DINAMO from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 13th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Remus Elisei. Damian Cârlan took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horea Hurmuzache. Horea Hurmuzache dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Istodor. With his leg Horea Hurmuzache managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the last second Horea Hurmuzache throw himself and got hold of the ball when Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 31 minutes DINAMO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastian Istodor who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's corner Eric Astafei fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Horea Hurmuzache quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's George Gurlui got a free kick in the 34th minute. Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horea Hurmuzache, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 47th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Rednic made a kick off. Calistrat Şerbănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Calistrat Şerbănescu put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Horea Hurmuzache. Sebastian Istodor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to DINAMO getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Remus Elisei hit a great ball. Sebastian Istodor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Horea Hurmuzache. DINAMO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Damian Cârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horea Hurmuzache saved DINAMO from getting behind. Horea Hurmuzache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Istodor in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Calistrat Şerbănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Hurmuzache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Calistrat Şerbănescu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Horea Hurmuzache. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horea Hurmuzache prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Calistrat Şerbănescu notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache. Horea Hurmuzache was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Calistrat Şerbănescu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calistrat Şerbănescu couldn't finish the play. If Sorin Nicorici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Bobocea to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fully deserved thier win.
