In the 11th minute, Waitakere F.C.'s Silvano Martxel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Braulio Chorche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Romani having to interfere. Leonardo Romani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Martxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Nicanor Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Romani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Romani made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Nicanor Pueblo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Pello Cameno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's supporters rose to their feet, but Pello Cameno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergio Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hitzeder Palomar in the 35th minute of play. Nicanor Pueblo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Leonardo Romani made a huge save. Arnoldo Oliviero struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Leonardo Romani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waitakere F.C.. Leonardo Romani was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Nicanor Pueblo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicanor Pueblo really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antero Vadillos to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Lawrence Titos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Silvano Martxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Romani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Nicanor Pueblo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waitakere F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Waitakere F.C.'s Tomas Unai was substituted for Arnoldo Oliviero. The supporters of Waitakere F.C. booed when Club Deportivo O IRIXO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lander Solana didn't get a good kick on the ball.
