Rockets's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Douglas Cortens scored to the left of an out of position Geraldo Queiroz, making the score, 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lionel Maenhout to make the kick off. Geraldo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Van Houtvinc in the 51st minute of the match. Naldo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolaas De Cat having to interfere. A collision led to SK Dreigoten getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jeffery De Vleeschauwere hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Joélson Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolaas De Cat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's goalkeeper Nicolaas De Cat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Madureira. Rockets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Dreigoten the free kick. 81 minutes into the match, Henri Van Houtvinc notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz. Geraldo Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 3-4 became the score in the 86th minute when Lionel Maenhout elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Dudu Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolaas De Cat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dudu Madureira's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Douglas Cortens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Dreigoten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Cortens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolaas De Cat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Melo in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rockets eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
